Fraccaroli family has been passionately producing wine since the 18th century. They used to make it directly in the basement cellar of Valpolicella villas; today, however, it’s used the basement part of the rest of the property to house the new cellar built in the 1980s by Paolo Borghetti, the father of current owner Giampiero Borghetti, a descendant of Fraccaroli family.
In 1980 Paolo began producing wines using the classic winemaking method but adding his own distinctive touch. Together with his wife Lisetta Vicentini, Paolo designed two collections; and participated in several competitions in the sector, winning the ‘Best Amarone of the Five Municipalities of Valpolicella Classica’ award in 1987.
Subsequently, Borghetti agricultural company created its first commercial brands, with Paolo starting his own line of wines incorporating two brands: ‘Le 4 Vigne’ and ‘I Tre Santi’.<\/p>\n

Paolo’s son, Giampiero Borghetti, a direct descendant of Fraccaroli family, started collaborating with his father from the age of 13, bottling, labelling and carefully applying seals to the bottles.
Starting at such an early age, he learnt the art and its secrets from his father, from working in the vineyards to selling the wine. Today Giampiero continues the winemaking business using traditional methods with the support of modern technology.<\/p>\n

The lyre, depicted in a stone mosaic in front of Casa Fraccaroli, has been its symbol since the end of the 18th century and may refer in this area to the lyre of Bacchus, the god of wine. It may therefore symbolize both wine and art, Fraccaroli being a family of artists – sculptors and musicians.
The original lyre in the square has two initials ‘FV’ – Fraccaroli Vito. Giampiero Borghetti wanted to create the winery’s logo by changing the initials under the lyre itself to his own ones ‘BG’ and depicting vines embracing the family symbol.<\/p>\n

The wines are produced entirely within the family winery. Giampiero Borghetti is always present during all stages of production, to personally create his wines, which are red wines, and are produced exclusively with grapes from Valpolicella Classica area.
A boutique winery, with the presence of a tasting stage, decorated with fine artistic mosaics, all to unite the beauty and value of art and wine, creating a unique experience for the guest. Here, wines play the leading role, thanks to their high quality, exceptional aromas, and flavors. The wines of this magical territory are exported, known, and appreciated all over the world.<\/p>\n

Fraccaroli family has been passionately producing wine since the 18th century. They used to make it directly in the basement cellar of Valpolicella villas; today, however, it’s used the basement part of the rest of the property to house the new cellar built in the 1980s by Paolo Borghetti, the father of current owner Giampiero Borghetti, a descendant of Fraccaroli family.
In 1980 Paolo began producing wines using the classic winemaking method but adding his own distinctive touch. Together with his wife Lisetta Vicentini, Paolo designed two collections; and participated in several competitions in the sector, winning the ‘Best Amarone of the Five Municipalities of Valpolicella Classica’ award in 1987.
Subsequently, Borghetti agricultural company created its first commercial brands, with Paolo starting his own line of wines incorporating two brands: ‘Le 4 Vigne’ and ‘I Tre Santi’.<\/p>\n

Paolo’s son, Giampiero Borghetti, a direct descendant of Fraccaroli family, started collaborating with his father from the age of 13, bottling, labelling and carefully applying seals to the bottles.
Starting at such an early age, he learnt the art and its secrets from his father, from working in the vineyards to selling the wine. Today Giampiero continues the winemaking business using traditional methods with the support of modern technology.<\/p>\n

The lyre, depicted in a stone mosaic in front of Casa Fraccaroli, has been its symbol since the end of the 18th century and may refer in this area to the lyre of Bacchus, the god of wine. It may therefore symbolize both wine and art, Fraccaroli being a family of artists – sculptors and musicians.
The original lyre in the square has two initials ‘FV’ – Fraccaroli Vito. Giampiero Borghetti wanted to create the winery’s logo by changing the initials under the lyre itself to his own ones ‘BG’ and depicting vines embracing the family symbol.<\/p>\n

The wines are produced entirely within the family winery. Giampiero Borghetti is always present during all stages of production, to personally create his wines, which are red wines, and are produced exclusively with grapes from Valpolicella Classica area.

In 1980 Paolo began producing wines using the classic winemaking method but adding his own distinctive touch. Together with his wife Lisetta Vicentini, Paolo designed two collections; and participated in several competitions in the sector, winning the ‘Best Amarone of the Five Municipalities of Valpolicella Classica’ award in 1987.
Subsequently, Borghetti agricultural company created its first commercial brands, with Paolo starting his own line of wines incorporating two brands: ‘Le 4 Vigne’ and ‘I Tre Santi’.<\/p>\n
Starting at such an early age, he learnt the art and its secrets from his father, from working in the vineyards to selling the wine. Today Giampiero continues the winemaking business using traditional methods with the support of modern technology.<\/p>\n
